Q. What happens during an osteopathy session?
An osteopathy session involves hands-on techniques tailored to your needs, such as soft tissue massage, muscle stretching, joint articulation, spinal manipulation, and gentle abdominal adjustments. Your first appointment typically lasts 45–60 minutes. The osteopath will take a detailed medical history, conduct an examination, and explain your diagnosis and treatment plan. They will seek your consent before starting treatment and answer any questions you may have. After your session, you may receive advice on exercises and posture to support recovery and prevent symptoms from returning.
